Is short term car insurance available?
Short (even VERY short) term insurance, covering vehicles such as cars and light vans is now available. Temporary insurance coverage like this can last for as short a period as just one single day or can provide cover for as long as four weeks (28 days). Although there are only a small number of insurers offering short term car insurance it is now a major vehicle insurance product which hundreds of thousands of UK motorists have taken advantage of.
Main advantages of temporary insurance
A short term policy can be taken out on cars which have been borrowed by the driver, as well as vehicles that he or she owns. It is therefore ideal in those situations when, for any reason, someone needs to borrow someone else's car or van for a short length of time and, of course, insuring the vehicle is essential under these circumstances. Temporary cover can be purchased, online, within minutes when necessary which is very useful if the use of a vehicle in an emergency becomes necessary, such as when another motor breaks down or when extra transport is required unexpectedly. Alternatively the insurance policy can be booked to come into effect at any time within the following four weeks so planned car usage, such as holidays or routing vehicle servicing can be planned in advance.
Buying a short term insurance policy
Simple. To buy your short term cover click the link above, and fill in the short form to get a quote. If you match the criteria laid down by the insurers you will get at least one insurance quotation, and you will then be able to buy your coverage using a credit card. If you had chosen the immediate cover option you would then be insured for the remainder of the period you had ordered and could drive off, with the assurance that you had adequate cover in place, and that you were in compliance with our motoring insurance laws.
